Aircraft Practice Bombs
There were basically 2 sorts of Practice Bombs, those, which were service bombs but filled inert eg. Sand or water; and those containing a spotting charge.
Practice Bombs containing a spotting charge included:
- 8lb Practice Bomb,
- 8.5lb Practice Bomb,
- 10lb Practice Bomb,
- 11.5lb Practice Bomb, and
- 25lb Practice Bomb.
NOTE- Some Practice Bombs contained a Detonator Burster and could therefore be a dangerous UXO.
