The Department of Defence has established a panel of UXO contractors - the Defence UXO Panel (DUXOP). The DUXOP is a selection of preferred companies who provide specialist support services for activities associated with Defence's administration of the Commonwealth Policy on the Management of Land affected by Unexploded Ordnance throughout Australia. The DUXOP also enables the efficient provision of support for Defence funded UXO and derelict explosive ordnance management, assessment and remediation services throughout Australia, on both non-Defence land and the Defence Estate. DUXOP contractors also provide UXO assessment and remediation services to the private sector and public sector organisations. (There may be other companies who are not accredited to the DUXOP who provide UXO services outside the Defence environment.
