The ADF Transition Centre staff can also provide you with advice and information about the many organisations that are available to assist families as well as bring to your attention other considerations associated with separation, i.e. housing and removals, Centerlink, Health Insurance, Medicare, compensation and financial information.
Who should we contact with questions related to eligibility and access to transition related benefits and support?'
The ADF member’s unit staff should be the first point of inquiry in relation to eligibility and access to entitlements or benefits that may be available as part of their separation from the ADF.
Other good sources of information you can access include:
- the ADF Transition Centres, located throughout Australia;
- the ADF Transition Handbook (PDF) . This handbook is a good source of general information regarding the transition process, requirements and supporting information;
- the Pay and Conditions Manual (PACMAN) Chapter 2, Part 2 Joining and Leaving the ADF is the overarching policy for the Career Transition Assistance Scheme (CTAS) and will provide you with useful information relating to entitlements and eligibility; and
- there are many other organisations that provide transition support services and offer general information via websites. You are encouraged to visit these websites so that you have access to a broad range of transition support information.
