surveillance - marine (Sonacom)

Sonacom works closely with both Defence and private/commercially-based customers to develop solutions optimised to meet their specific requirements. Zylotech through its Sonacom division will continue to develop these unique and innovative solutions. Such solutions include but are not limited to the detection and prevention of incursions by sea into restricted or prohibited areas, people smuggling, drug running, illegal fishing, environmental pollution etc.

Typical target applications and customers include:

• customs/coastwatch/coastguard: smuggling, illegal dumping
• exclusive economic zones: illegal fishing
• aquaculture: theft, vandalism
• marine parks: illegal incursions, illegal fishing, pollution
• offshore oil and gas facilities: security
• defence: acoustic ranges, submarine detection

Sonacom products available or under development include a host of devices and systems such as sonobuoys, processing and display systems, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) sonobuoy launchers etc.
