simulation and modelling, constructive
Boeing Australia's Systems Analysis Laboratory (SAL) is the region's most advanced constructive simulation and operations analysis facility.
Operated by a highly-skilled team of software engineers and military operations analysts, the SAL was developed to model and validate system-of-systems architectures and to examine and apply meaning to complex military concepts. This capability enables Boeing Australia to review and analyse individual domains (such as warfare, information, logistics, C4ISR and cost versus capability) and the impact of each domain on the others, within the context of a true system-of-systems.
Boeing Australia uses the SAL to enable:
- the construction and validation of Defence Architecture Framework (DAF) operational, system and technical views of Defence customers within a highly-realistic, joint and colation, simulation-based, visual analysis environment
- cost and risk modelling on future business initiatives
- an enhanced understanding of Defence customers' challenges including Network-Centric Warfare and effects-based operations
- simulation-based design of architectures to reduce implementation and integration risk.
