FFT Secure Pipe is a breakthrough in pipeline security.

Secure Pipe was specifically designed and developed with major pipeline research groups in the USA and Europe to protect pipelines against accidental third party interference (TPI), illegal tapping into and theft of pipeline contents.

Using FFT's patented fibre optic security monitoring system, a single intrinsically safe system can monitor up to 40km of pipeline in real time, detecting nearby digging activities, tampering, and illegal tapping attempts. It locates these activities to within ±150metres along buried pipelines, providing valuable early warning of potential pipeline events before they occur. Multiple controllers can be networked to monitor longer pipelines, with all information being managed by FFT's Central Alarm Monitoring Software (CAMS).

Secure Pipe is commercially available, and is currently being installed on a 1,700km pipeline in Europe. Other clients include Gulf Petroleum in Indonesia, Tokyo Gas, PSE&G in New York, BTC Pipeline, SNAM in Italy and PetroChina.
