medical - mobile intensive care rescue facility (MIRF)

BAC's mobile intensive care rescue facility (MIRF) is a portable and self-contained intensive care unit, capable of air transportation and fitment to vehicles and ships. It has Certificate of Type approval by the Australian Civil Aviation Authority (CASA), and can be used for both military and civilian aeromedical retrievals.

This innovative facility won Buchanan Advanced Composites the 1997 Australian Defence Industry Quality and Achievement Award for contracts under A$20M.
