The Barrett Communications 2050 transceiver provides all common modes of transmission as well as selective call formats, Mil STD 188-141A ALE and a new generation frequency hopping option.
The 2050 uses a flexible soft core processor and powerful DSP system for superior reception, noise reduction, and low current consumption.
Housed in a lightweight and strong sealed aluminium chassis, the 2050 meets MIL STD 810F for drop, dust, temperature, shock and vibration.
The 2050 is packaged with all the components required to configure it as a desktop or mobile transceiver. Inserting the 2050 into the 2040 manpack adaptor and back pack, the complete unit becomes a lightweight manpack portable transceiver.
Teamed with other Barrett 2000 series products, the 2050 provides email, fax telephone and data connectivity within an HF network and onwards to both the international telephone network and the internet.
