armoured vehicles - conversion/supply
Tenix Defence Pty Ltd – Land Division caters to military, non-military, public or private organisations operating in fields and/or locations of acute physical threat.
Our Commercial Armoured Vehicles (CAV) business involves the discreet armouring and mechanical upgrading of a wide range of commercially available vehicles – from rugged utilities through to luxury limousines – according to the customer's risk profile. Though barely noticeable to the naked eye, these improvements allow the vehicles to withstand small arms fire and incendiary devices.
The Tenix S600 is a chassis-based vehicle, utilising a common Mercedes Unimog hull for all variants. This allows Tenix's unique, cost-effective modular hull that can be outfitted for a variety of mission profiles and needs - from APC to anti-hijack, riot control to high pressure hose - based on a single, flexible design.
Tenix Defence provides a number of products dedicated to the protection of people travelling in vehicles where a land mine, improvised explosive device (IED) or hand grenade threat exists. A whole-of-vehicle approach provides best protection, or selective products can be chosen from the range. The product range is specifically designed to enhance personnel protection levels to existing vehicles.
The product range includes:
- energy absorbing panels that prevent or reduce foot and leg fractures due to explosive shock waves
- blast deflection plates to reduce overpressure, burns and fragmentation injury
- energy-tuned seating to prevent or reduce spinal injury
- up-armouring of panels and entire vehicles
- integration of fire suppression systems
