acoustic and tactical data replay - FTAPS - Fast Time Acoustic Processing System (secondary analysis)
The Sonartech ATLAS Fast Time Acoustic Processing System (FTAPS) is an acoustic secondary analysis system that takes acoustic, tactical and ICS data, recorded during an operational sortie, and recovers, processes and displays the data at high speed to allow a secondary analyst, or analysts, to reconstruct aspects of the sortie and derive information that may have been missed/overlooked during the actual prosecution.

The operational requirements which FTAPS is designed to meet are listed below:
Target Track Reconstruction |
FTAPS will process at 16X real time (16 DIFAR buoys) and provide data storage management of raw and processed acoustic and tactical data. Once the high speed data extraction and initial processing has occurred, ultra-fast (in excess of 200X real-time) processing can be conducted on identified streams/sections of data. |
