Vigilare air defence ground environment simulation

Training simulation developed for the RAAF's Air Defence Ground Environment (ADGE) upgraded through the Vigilare project.

  • Replicates live inputs to the ADGE.
  • Accommodates deployed assets such as Airborne Early Warning & Control, Tactical Air Defence Radar Systems, Over-The-Horizon-Radar, Maritime units and other Tactical Data Link agencies.
  • Hosted on ADGE operational multi-function consoles, enabling operators to “train as they fight".
  • High re-use of off-the-shelf products.
  • Provides cost-effective repeatable operator training by stimulating the ADGE with inputs that replicate live data.
  • Delivered in advance of the commissioning of the ADGE and used in system level integration and test.

Company

  • Delivered under contract to Boeing in 2009.
  • Deployed to Regional Operations Centres in 2010 – Service Release at the Northern Regional Operations Centre (NROC) accepted by Chief of Air Force in September 2010.
