SONIX acoustic processing an recording system (primary analysis)
The Sonix Acoustic Processing Suite gives you the capability edge in underwater warfare by integrating our proven Resound, Rhapsody, Raptor and SeaSpray technologies to create a high performance acoustic processing solution.
In "Live" mode the system collects, processes, displays and records sensor data in real-time from sonobuoy, hull mounted or towed array sonar receivers. In "Replay" mode, it provides sophisticated secondary replay processing, display and analysis capabilities, and in "Training" it provides realistic simulated scenarios for effective tactical crew training.

SONIX is, primarily, a sonobuoy based acoustic processor providing passive, mono-static active, multi-static active, environmental and torpedo detection modes. |
The SONIX system can be delivered in a range of military-certified or COTS hardware configurations ranging from conduction-cooled ATR chassis for MPA/Helicopter platforms through VME racks for surface vessels and submarines, to desktop/laptop PC architectures for ground station/laboratory use. The Sonix hardware architecture can be tailored to provide up to 64 channels of processing and is readily integrated with external tactical control busses such as MIL-STD-1553B or Ethernet. |

Variants of Sonix have been installed and deployed on P3-C MPA, S-70B-2 ASW helicopters, ANZAC and FFG-7 class surface combatants and other craft-of-opportunity such as Fremantle class patrol boats. Sonix technology is also being used for the sonar data recorders (SDRS) which are currently contracted for delivery across Australia's fleet of Collins class submarines. |
