IDRS - intercept detection and ranging system

The underlying IDRS technology is capable of producing range and bearing solutions, both automatically and manually, from individual intercepted sonar transmissions or transient events. This can be augmented with contact specific detection facilities, broadband processing options and intercept TMA solutions among other options.

IDRS HF
A compact implementation of IDRS that provides all of the primary functionality. The system interfaces with a set of dedicated IDRS sensors which provide data across the frequency range from 1-100kHz, with 360° of azimuthal coverage for both range and bearing solutions.
IDRS MF
The IDRS MF system combines IDRS intercept functionality with a complementary broadband ranging capability to provide an exceptional distributed array (DA) processing solution. A number of sophisticated detection processes, working on the fully beamformed DA data set, augment the automatic detection capabilities of the system.).
IDRS LF
By providing an interface to existing flank arrays, IDRS LF extends the intercept detection and ranging capability down to the lowest frequencies useful for ranging.

Currently integrated into the Atlas Elektronik ISUS and CSU90 submarine combat and SONAR systems in service with the Greek, Israeli, Portuguese and South Korean Navies.
Also installed as a specialist system on RAN Collins class submarines and being targeted for USN special fit.
