International Policy Division
International Policy Division provides policy advice on the implications of international developments for Australia's security interests, provides policy guidance for Australian Defence Force operations and international Defence activities, manages international Defence relationships and the Defence Cooperation Program and develops the Defence International Engagement Plan.
Additionally, the enabling functions of Strategic Planning and Coordination, Attaché and Overseas Management, Foreign Education and Training, and Protocol and Visits come under the Chief of Staff position.
The Division's branch structure is:
- South-East Asia;
- Central Asia, Middle East and Africa;
- Americas, North and South Asia and Europe; and
- Pacific and East Timor.
