International Import Certificates and Delivery Verification Certificates
The International Import Certificate (IIC) is issued by the Australian Government to assist Australian importers in obtaining controlled goods from some foreign countries.
Some foreign governments will not release or grant export licences for the export of dual-use goods and some military goods until the Australian Government certifies, in the form of an IIC that the further disposition of those goods will be subject to export controls.
In addition to the IIC, some foreign governments may also require a Delivery Verification Certificate (DVC) which certifies that the goods have actually entered Australia and are subject to Australia’s export controls. IICs and DVCs are issued by Defence on application to DECO.
Other than International Import Certificates and Delivery Verification Certificates DECO does not deal with imports, for import enquiries see;

End User Certificates
EUCs required by DECO in the processing of export applications. Exporters will normally be required to provide an ‘End-User and Non-Transfer Certificate’ Form DEC04 (or as supplied by the importing country) for the export of controlled goods, prior to approval being granted.
EUCs required by foreign governments for goods coming into Australia. Australian importers may be required by an exporting country to provide an EUC before the exporting country will issue an export licence. DECO is able to provide an EUC if the exporting country does not provide a template form.
* note: DECO is the sole authority to sign on behalf of the Australian Government for defence and strategic goods
