AUKMIN 2013

AUKMIN 2013

The Australia-UK Ministerial Consultations (AUKMIN) is the annual day-long summit between the Australian Defence and Foreign Ministers and their UK counterparts, the Defence and Foreign Secretaries.

The fifth annual AUKMIN will be held in Perth on 18 January 2013 where Minister Stephen Smith and Senator Bob Carr will host their counterparts, Defence Secretary Philip Hammond and Foreign Secretary William Hague.

AUKMIN is the yearly forum where Australian and British Defence and Foreign Ministers and senior officials meet to advance shared defence, foreign affairs and international security objectives.

This will be Mr Hammond's first official visit to Australia.

In January 2012, AUKMIN was hosted in London by Mr Hague and Mr Hammond.
