Australia and the United States share strategic interests in the Pacific region, and a significant portion of Australia's operational level interaction with the United States occurs through Pacific Command.

HMAS Stuart is currently over in Hawaii to participate in Exercise RIMPAC 2006. While it was alot of hard work, the sailors also found someitme to enjoy Waikiki beach and talk to some of the locals.
