HMAS Manoora in transit to RIMPAC 2006

Australia and the United States share strategic interests in the Pacific region, and a significant portion of Australia's operational level interaction with the United States occurs through Pacific Command.

On 24th June 2006 The Hon. Dr Brendan Nelson Minister for Defence visited HMAS Stuart alongside in Pearl Harbor prior to exercise RIMPAC 2006 commencing
