First and foremost, pay queries should be directed through the Chain of Command.
If an ADF member is posted to a unit administered by Defence Support Group, they can contact the nearest Customer Service Centre (in your location or by calling 1800 333 362) so a Customer Service Officer (CSO) can offer further advice. If the CSO is unable to resolve the problem, they will direct the query to a Subject Matter Expert at the Military Pay Administration Centre. Where this Subject Matter Expert is unable to resolve the problem, they will direct it to the Pay Remediation Team.
For self administering units, an ADF member needs to contact their supporting administrative staff and direct their query through the military Chain of Command. If the problem is not resolved in a reasonable and timely manner, members can then email the Pay Remediation Team at: ADF.PRT@defence.gov.au
If a member has a deployment pay issue, and is still deployed, they need to contact their in-country pay representative. If they have returned from deployment and have a query regarding deployment pay, the member will need to make sure they have their Pay and Allowance Entitlement Calculator (PAEC), which was certified by the CO, when making the enquiry.
