You may get uniform allowance if you are serving a period of detention under Service law.
If you are a member on a flexible service determination (weeks per month pattern of service), you may get uniform allowance for your working days. You won’t get uniform allowance during leave without pay.
You can’t get uniform allowance if you are:
Uniform allowance is to help you keep your uniforms in good order and condition.
Uniform allowance doesn’t cover laundry or dry cleaning costs. It also doesn't cover personal items like towels, brushes, pyjamas or underwear.
How much you get depends on your rank.
