You may get a parking space or parking permit if you are posted to specific locations. You may have to contribute to the cost of parking.

When do I have to contribute to a parking space or permit?

You may have to contribute to a parking space or permit if you are:

  • posted to specific locations
  • allocated a space or permit, and
  • choose to take it.

You may have to make an annual contribution which you pay fortnightly.

If you're performing temporary duty or acting rank in a position you may get a parking space or permit. You will have to contribute to the cost of parking.

When do I stop contributing to a parking space or permit?

If you're away from the location for more than 4 weeks, you may stop contributing to the cost of parking.

You must inform your workplace in writing how long you'll be away.

More information about this contribution and specific rates can be found in Chapter 4 Part 11.
