Lieutenant Submariner Heath Crawford onboard HMAS Collins

Recently qualified Submariner, Lieutenant Submariner Heath Crawford onboard HMAS Collins.

Heath grew up in Kingston , Tasmania where his parents still reside and attended High School at Rosny College.

Heath joined the Navy on the 20 Jan 97 and completed his Intial Officer Training at the Australian Defence Force Academy in Canberra.

Since completing his Officer training Heath has served on various ships in the Fleet. Ships Heath has served on are, HMAS Brunei, HMAS Tobruk, HMAS Westralia and HMAS Parramatta. Always looking for a challenge, Heath then decided to change to the submarine world were he served on HMAS Rankin and is currently onboard HMAS Collins.

Heath has the responsibility of being the Communications Officer and is a Watch Navigator at sea.

Some highlights of Heath's career is visiting Pearl Harbour in 2004 and 2006 and various deployments to South East Asia.

Heath enjoy's the professionalism of the submarine service and always finds his career challenging and interesting.
