Personnel deployed on Operation Sumatra Assist

Life is returning to Banda Aceh as the Indonesians return to the undamaged parts of the city and try to recommence their lives. For the Australians serving on Operation Sumatra Assist, the work of providing health services, clean drinking water, aid flights and engineer works continues at a steady pace. Slowly the devastated areas of Banda Aceh are being reclaimed from the mud and destruction of the Boxing Day tsunami, with noticeable changes for the better occurring each day.
