farewell parade

The parade officially marked the hand over of SMK 1, 2 and 3 (Technical and Vocational College) that has been home to the Engineer Group for the past seven weeks in Banda Aceh.

During 1CERs deployment in Aceh they have provided outstanding service to the locals in the repair and restoration of Aceh provinces.

Now that conditions have been sufficiently stabilised in Sumatra, the ADF is progressively transferring humanitarian relief tasks to specialist relief organisations that are better placed to provide the type of ongoing, long term support that is now required.
