28 July 2006 Australian servicemen and women help evacuees
Members of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) deployed to Beirut and Cyprus from Sydney International Airport today. The 65 members of the ADF are being deployed to support the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in the evacuation of Australian nations from Lebanon. The ADF group includes specialist staff to conduct liaison and evacuee processing support.
