An Australian C-130J Hercules is at Royal Air Force (RAF) Akrotiri in support of the evacuation of Australian nationals. The aircraft is being used to transport Australian Nationals out of Cyprus to locations where flights are available for their return to Australia.

Members of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) have been deployed to support the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) in the evacuation of Australian Nationals from Lebanon.

The specialist ADF staff are assissting DFAT in Beirut, Turkey and Cyprus.
