Australian Light Armour Vehicles arrive in Baghdad

Australian Light Armour Vehicles (ASLAVS) recently arrived in Baghdad to assist in the provision of security for Australian Defence Force (ADF) and Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) personnel during the restructuring phase in Iraq.
The ASLAVS and personnel, from the 2nd Calvary Regiment in Darwin, will continue force protection duties in Baghdad, gradually replacing the soldiers and vehicles from 4RAR (Cdo) who are due to depart on the long journey home.
