Force Level Logistic Asset (FLLA)
The Force Level Logistic Asset (FLLA) is the primary organisation responsible for reception and movement of Australian Defence personnel and equipment throughout the Middle East Area of Operations.
Based at various locations throughout the area, the FLLA is a tri-Service organisation staffed by personnel from the Royal Australian Navy, The Australian Army and the Royal Australian Air Force.
Recently, a new FLLA - MEAO Headquarters was raised to coordinate the complex management of logistics across the vast area covered by operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Commanded by Lieutenant Colonel Mick Ashleigh, the new command team is responsible for managing in theatre reception and movement of personnel and maintaining the flow of equipment to the various task forces which comprise Australia’s contribution to the region.
