Chief of Army Lieutenant General Ken Gillespie visited Defence personnel during VIC FIRE ASSIST
Chief of Army Lieutenant General Ken Gillespie visited Defence personnel assisting the Victorian government on Operation VIC FIRE ASSIST.
Lieutenant General Gillespie flew over fire-devastated areas and visited troops from Joint Task Force 662.
He applauded the efforts of all personnel involved with the operation and forecast a continued redeployment of Defence personnel as the community, government and civilian agencies take charge of their own recovery effort.
Lieutenant General Gillespie visited the Kinglake Community Service Hub, one of seven support areas providing around-the-clock support to residents in fire-affected country Victoria.
