Major General Craig Williams inspects bushfire assistance operations

The Commander of Army’s 2nd Division, Major General Craig Williams, has praised the quick response and efforts of Joint Task Force (JTF662).

Major General Williams, accompanied by Commander of JTF662, Brigadier Michael Arnold, has toured parts of the bushfire-affected region, including the Kinglake area and Whittlesea, where he met with soldiers deployed on Operation VIC FIRE ASSIST.

The Major General said he was proud of all of the soldiers, the job they had done in support of the Government agencies and the links they had forged with the local communities affected by the fires.
