Operation VIC FIRE ASSIST

15 February 2009
Service held to remember Victorian bushfire victims

A lone Royal Australian Air Force piper played a lament to mark the end of a Memorial and Recognition Service for those who lost their lives in the bushfires throughout Victoria.

The service, held at the Kinglake West Uniting Church, was attended by the Commander of the Victorian-based Joint Task Force (JTF662), Brigadier Michael Arnold.

JTF662 is providing specialist and emergency support to Victorian Government agencies in response to the bushfire crisis.
