Global Operations: Operation TESTAMENT
16 July 2008
World Youth Day 08 - OP TESTAMENT
With one voice the military pilgrims from Australia and nine other nations gathered at the steps of the Sydney Opera House to ‘sing’ in the week-long festivities building up to World Youth Day 2008.
Military pilgrims in their respective uniforms prayed for peace and sung as one, in a show of faith and unity of strength before a crowd of spectators at the Sydney Opera House.
NSW Minister for World Youth Day Kristina Kenneally officially welcomed the Catholic Bishop of the ADF, Bishop Max Davis, Brigadier David Saul, Commander of Operation TESTAMENT (the ADF’s commitment to World Youth Day), and the military pilgrims from Australia and the world to World Youth Day and to the city of Sydney.
