Op Slipper Soldiers relaxing at Combat Outpost Mashal
Soldiers from the Second Mentoring and Reconstruction Task Force face harsh conditions living in the Afghan desert, from the dust to the extreme cold.
They make the most of their down time by playing cards, reading and listening to music.
The deployment has certainly formed strong bonds between the soldiers, jokes and laughter helping them get through the long, tiring days.
