Wing Commander Steve Williams, Detachment Commander with the Heron Uninhabited Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Rotation1 personally thanks Mr Mark Levack, site manager with Heron contractor MDA as the final touches, the RAAF Roundel, have been completed on the UAV, paving the way for the Australian Kandahar based contingent to begin flying operations with the Heron.
Joining the celebratory moments are (L-R) Group Captain Don Thornton, Air Component Commander (ACC) elect, and Group Captain Gary Martin, current ACC, and representing MDA are Mr Dan Booth on-site Maintenance Manager, Mr Dave Ritchie, Senior Systems Engineer, and Mr Tom Allmendinger, Operations Manager.
