The Aussie Gunners of “Brumby Troop” serving with the British Army in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, recently received a Royal visit from Princess Mary of Denmark.
While visiting Danish troops deployed in Helmand, the Australian-born Danish Princess made time in her busy itinerary to visit the 15 Australian Artillery soldiers from the Darwin-based 8th / 12th Medium Regiment who are deployed with the British Army’s 1st Regiment Royal Horse Artillery, in Afghanistan.
The Aussie Gunners joined up with 19 Light Brigade in early April 2009.
