The Commanding Officer of the 2nd Mentoring and Reconstruction Task Force, Lieutenant Colonel Peter Connolly, officially handed over command of the Battle Group on December 12th 2009 to Lieutenant Colonel Andrew Hocking. LTCOL Connolly commanded MRTF-2 since June 2009.
