C-130 relocation
Australia's air transport work-horses in the Middle East Area of Operations (MEAO), the venerable C-130 Hercules aircraft, have successfully transferred their operating base to the new, combined Australian Defence Force facility in the MEAO.
The final sortie of a C-130 from its former Middle East home base since 2003 to its new home, arrived to a rousing welcome on 05 November, including a traditional "dunking" by Royal Australian Air Force and Coalition fire crews.
