Explosive Detection Dog *Sarbi Returns
Australian Special Forces Explosive Detection Dog *Sarbi has been found alive and well almost fourteen months after going missing in action in Afghanistan.
* A recent check of Sarbi’s regimental record, revealed that Sarbi’s name has been previously incorrectly spelt in Defence public reporting and the record is now corrected to show the spelling as Sarbi, not 'Sabi'.

Moments after touchdown in Tarin Kowt and being reunited with one of her original trainers, *Sarbi catches a tennis ball nudged towards her. The game of catch was a special bond between dog and trainer during *Sarbi's initial training, and provided additional immediate proof of *Sarbi's identity on her return.
