Gallipoli Cup in the MEAO

The Gallipoli Cup is a cricket match played between Seven Seas Shipchandlers, a supply company in Dubai. It started in 1999 with the visit of HMAS Anzac, with HMAS Parramatta donating a cup made of an empty shell in 2006. HMAS Warramunga visited Dubai as part of Operation Slipper in April 2009 and played a game on the 19th. They lost to Seven Seas by only two runs, the closest match ever. In the past no RAN team has come within 100 runs of the Seven Seas team.
