Troops on patrol

Throughout the Uruzgan Province, there are numerous roads, buildings and key infrastructure projects that vie for the attention of Australian Forces. The members of the 1st Mentoring and Reconstruction Task Force, engage in thorough investigations of any project before committing time and resources. Their goal is to identify and support the reconstruction works, which will best aid the local Afghan people.

One of the key activities in planning any reconstruction project is the reconnaissance of the location to confirm its suitability for any engineering to commence.
