Army turns 108
The Force Support Unit (FSU) members include administrative and movements personnel, signallers, logistics soldiers, engineers, and drivers. The FSU - A and RWG are both an important part of Australia’s contribution to the NATO led coalition fighting the war on terror in Afghanistan.
Australia's contribution to the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan is an important component of the Australian Government's commitment to working together with the international community to help prevent acts of terrorism around the world. Australia's commitment to Operation SLIPPER currently includes National command, liaison and embedded personnel element of approximately 65 Defence Force members with approximately 55 staff officers embedded in various headquarters. Part of that commitment is the personnel who staff Camp Baker at the Kandahar base in Afghanistan.
