Rebuilding bridges in Afghanistan
As their Engineer counterparts worked in the freezing valley below, members of the 1st Mentoring and Reconstruction Task Force’s, Combat Team Tusk, took advantage of an abandoned security building.
Tasked with providing protection to the reconstruction work, the soldiers made themselves as comfortable as possible as they went about their tasks of redirecting traffic and patrolling the area for insurgent threats.
Their temporary home was the envy of many of their fellow soldiers in the high and freezing altitudes of Zabol Province.
