Change of Command Ceremony - Middle East
On 12 January 2009, the Command of Joint Task Force 633 was passed from Major General Hindmarsh to Major General Mark Kelly. Major General Hindmarsh assumed command of the Joint Task Force on the 1st March 2008 after serving as the Commander Special Operations Command.
Headquarters Joint Task Force 633 is located in the Middle East and has a joint-force team of Navy, Army and Air Force personnel who provide the command function for the Australian forces in Iraq, Afghanistan and the wider Persian Gulf region.
