RTF-4 fight to save lives after roadside bomb in Afghanistan

Soldiers from Reconstruction Task Force 4 have fought to save the lives of 4 Afghans, seriously injured by a Taliban roadside bomb during the holy month of Ramadan.

5 people died in the attack, after their car hit an Improvised Explosive Device when they stopped to change a tyre near Sorkh Morghab, 20 kilometres north of Tarin Kowt.

The Diggers, who are building a medical centre in the area, worked with Dutch and Afghan troops to treat the 3 injured men and a young boy with head wounds, before they were flown by American helicopter to the Coalition hospital in Tarin Kowt.
