Commodore Bruce Kafer assuming Command
Commodore Bruce Kafer assumed Command of Task Force 158 in the Northern Persian Gulf on 17 October 2008.
Since that time his Task Force, led by a contingent of Royal Australian Navy officers and sailors have been responsible for the security of Iraq’s oil export infrastructure and sea lines of communication.
