More Combat troops depart Tallil
Soldiers from Overwatch Battle Group (West) and the Australian Army Training Team - Iraq, continue to leave Tallil on Royal Australian Air Force C-130 aircraft.
The drawdown of personnel and equipment is proceeding as planned and is now approaching the final stages.
The C-130 flight from Iraq takes the soldiers to Australia’s Force Level Logistic Asset in the Middle East where they conduct a range of administrative checks prior to returning to Australia.
The soldiers are proud of the many achievements of the Battle Group and the Training Team but are keen to return home and see family and friends after more than six months away from home.
