ANZAC rapt with curious visitor
The young raptor, believed to be a juvenile female Gyr Falcon, decided to join HMAS ANZAC on patrol in the Northern Persian Gulf.
HMAS ANZAC is a Royal Australian Navy Anzac Class frigate that provides an ongoing contribution to the rehabilitation and reconstruction of Iraq. HMAS ANZAC assits with protecting Iraq's offshore export oil terminals and monitoring, intercepting and boarding vessels suspected of illegally trafficking cargo that diverts funds from the Iraqi economy.
There are currently 180 crew members onboard HMAS ANZAC.
