Santa visits HMAS Ballarat in the Persian Gulf
Australian Defence Force Personnel in the Middle East are working through Christmas as part of Operation CATALYST, Australias contribution to the safety, reconstruction and rebuilding of Iraq.
Despite the festive season back home soldiers, sailors and Air Force personnel will stay at their posts on Christmas Day and through the New Year celebrations to guarantee force security and to continue their regular assignments.
ADF personnel from cities and towns all across Australia are serving in the Middle East region.
