Australian Army Training Team - Iraq 4

The Australian Army Training Team - Iraq 4 [AATT-I (4)] has the responsibility of training and supporting the 2nd Brigade of the Iraqi Army’s 10th Division in the Al Muthanna province in Southern Iraq. This training plays a key role in enabling the Iraqis to take over the internal and external defence of their country.

AATT-I (4) was deployed to Iraq as part of Operation CATALYST, which is the Australian Defence Force’s contribution to the reconstruction and rehabilitation of Iraq. Operation CATALYST commenced on July 16, 2003, and currently comprises 1370 ADF personnel. Operation CATALYST runs concurrently with Operation SLIPPER, Australia’s contribution to the War on Terror.
