First Al Muthanna Task Group ASLAVs arrive in the Middle East Area of Operations
The Al Muthanna Task Group (AMTG) has touched down in the Middle East following the arrival of the advance party at Ali As Salem air base in Kuwait. The Australian soldiers arrived on board a Royal Air Force C-17 Globemaster III aircraft which had carried them from the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Base Darwin in the Northern Territory.
